In late 2011 (or early 2012) till mid of 2012. We are doing some research to observe the Desmodium cinereum or Desmodium rensonii. Basically Desmodium cinereum is a legume family that potential as animal feed supply. in our research, we will observe the growth, protein and fiber content of the plant. we will provide the plant with four various doses of liquid fertilizer. and different plant spacing. Research took a place at Diponegoro University Semarang, Indonesia.

Planting Desmodium cinereum in our places are not easy as we expected. On the first trial We are facing many problems, such as soil conditions, weather, and the most terrible is termites. The first 2 weeks it looks good. many leaves grow from the stem, but the next was a disaster. Many plants died because termites, and we lost about 75% of Desmodium plant in first 5 weeks. Then we decided to re-planting and start the project from the scratch on april 2012. After learning from previous first trial. we are now better at dealing with the problems and overcome it.
