MusicThat I'm Listening to Does Not Appear in BBM Status/feeds. How to resolve?

In the end of October 2014, Blackberry Messenger (BBM) For android has released an update for its application to a newer version (2.5.0.32). In this new update there are several new features added. Like "timed message," feature that let you set a time to your message to give duration on how long message can appear to your friend before it self destruct. Then, "Show what i'm listening to," this feature shares what music you are playing in bbm's feeds/ status.

After, updates the app, and activated the "Show what i'm listening to" feature. Some users complain that music that they're playing doesn't show up in bbm feed / status. But not all of the musics. Sometimes, the music's titles and artists displays correctly. Do you have this kind of problem? If yes, the problem is on your music/mp3 files. BBm not read your file name. but read the properties tag inside your song/ music files. This problem happens if your music files does not contains or lack information about "title" and "artist" info in the music properties.

So, How to resolve this? If your music/ mp3 files located on pc/ windows computer before copied to smartphone's internal memory. It is better to check the song's properties. Open the song's properties by right click on your music/ mp3 files > select "properties" > details. You can see that? There are many tags information provided to your song. If they are empty, that is the problem. Now point to "Title" located on description area. You can fill the title of the song in the "value" column. Then point to "Contributing Artists," you can fill the value with the artist of your song. That's It! you can save the properties by clicking apply/Ok. You can also add another value like Album, year, genre, # (number of track) etc. But the most important tags is "Title" and "Contributing Artists." because BBM reads these tag for displaying and shares your song in feed status.

You can also edit the song properties on your android smartphone. There are many free applications available on google play. for example, "iTag" with this free aplication you can easily edit your music's properties via android.
